I've been here a long time. I don't post diaries very often. I comment occasionally... mostly with little notice and that's fine. I have zero interest in recognition.
I have seen this site grow. I started reading about politics in 2000 when Al Gore had the election stolen from him by Florida and SCOTUS...okay, still a bit bitter about that. I found Kos in 2002 and finally joined in November of 2004 after John Kerry lost. Kos has been one of my few daily reads for the last 19 years.
I am writing this in the small hours of 2022 (Happy New Year).
I have seen many people on Kos. Front-pagers come and gone...daily diarists and so many of that person who wrote just one thoughtful diary. These folk walk that walk. They write thoughtfully and with heart.
The goal is a better collective existence for all humans...so many here get that.
I'm not religious; as far as I'm concerned this one go around is it. We get one shot to be the best human we can be. That's me.
As for you...
Whatever makes you do what you do, thank you. Keep reaching for a better world for all humans.
